Who is Augustin Teboul? First of all is a Designer duo:
An aesthetic that arises from the conception of two contrasting personalities: German-born
Annelie Augustin with subtle, minimal shapes and her sophisticated mind and French-born
Odély Teboul, the rather chaotic, nostalgic craftsman.
*
Both graduated with honors at Esmod Paris in 2006. Subsequently Annelie worked for Yohji Yamamoto for Adidas and Odély for Jean Paul Gaultier. In 2009 they combine their visions in the collection “cadavre exquis” that was honored with three awards in both France and Germany. Thus encouraged they decided to transform the project into a label, positioned on the edge between ready-to-wear and haute couture: AUGUSTIN TEBOUL. In 2011 the label received the highest priced German fashion award SYFB.
Inspired by Surrealism the designers leave enough space for chance in the process of creation, while they insist on flawless workmanship and finest materiality. Deeply routed in the craft of tailoring the duo combines poetry and gravity in their cutting-edge designs. AUGUSTIN TEBOUL stands for an exclusive, avant-garde and yet mind-blowingly feminine look. The right ammount of punk, the right ammount of femininity.

THE DORCHESTER COLLECTION
FASHION PRIZE 2012
Established in 2010, the annual Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize was created to discover emerging fashion talent and build on Dorchester Collection’s own established fashion heritage. It is the first award of its kind developed by a luxury hotel company.
As the chosen location for the 2012 Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize,
Hotel Plaza Athènèe is ideally located in the heart of the Paris Haute Couture District
and it is a landmark in fashion history.
Insipired by its elegance, Christian Dior, who set up his couture house nearby, named several of his creations after the hotel, including the "Plaza" and the "Athènèe" suits.
Dior's groundbreaking couture collections were often photographed at the Plaza Athènèe, which he considered a "second home".
A good karma for Augustin Teboul.
