Lucifer Vir Honestus Jewelry FIVEinFIVE

Luna Scamuzzi is the amazing designer behind this exclusive Jewelry brand.
I saw her magical creations at Barney's New York and
 liked the extraordinary creativity of the pieces.
Once in Milano I decided to pay a visit to meet Luna in person.

* ONE *
From the bit intimidating name, Lucifer Vir Honestus,
 I was expecting nothing but the most gentle and angelic
personality as Luna has. Naturally the first question I posed
was the choice of such a sizzling company name.
Luna explainded to me that while preparing her final exam for the Architectural University her and her husband businessman Paolo Mandelli, saw this curious name in the Milanese Archives of Goldsmiths. LVH was the first goldsmith of Milan back in the 12th century to be registered, without much thinking at the time Luna copied the name in her diary and saved it. A few years later when they decided to persue their own carrier as Jewelry Designers the selection of this name became almost natural.

Now her creations adorn the most charming women:
from Drew Berrymore to Cameron Diaz, from JLO to
Michelle Obama just to name a few of the Devotee

One of a kind pieces that are beautiful to wear and
it almost a sin to hide in a jewelry box....

* TWO *
My personal style in one word
Playful

* THREE *
A nice gift I have recived latelty
A fun head pice from Alain Journo in the shape of a Statue of Liberty crown and a fish net over the face, a truly playful object.

* FOUR *
An unforgettable place to dine
Ristorante Piazza Duomo in Alba (Piedmont Reagion in Italy)
Chef Enrico Crippa just earned his third Michelin star
is a personal fiend and a great poetic man, he puts his soul in the kitchen.

* FIVE*
Dinner for Eight
(I asked Luna to make an imaginary Guest List for her dinner party)
Luna, herself
Joan of Arc
Houdini
Marylin Monroe
Annie Lennox
Elvis Presley
Nina Simone
Fulco di Verdura

Lucifer, watching down from Heaven, bust be very proud!
It has been a pleasure meeting Luna, be part  of her world even for just a few
hours has been like enter a storybook: her beautiful way to talk about her work
and the playful way she uses to create her jewelry just as child would
have fun playing with clay. She gets the energy from every single
stone, pearl or once of gold transforming them in jewelry that are so mature and unique in style. She relay on her instint reather then a formal sketch having a natural sense of proportions from her trainging in architecture.
The results are unique pieces as works of art.  As I said before you cannot hide them in a jewlry box, they will become part of your surrondings as miniature sculpures.

Designer Luxury Hen Residence

It has never been so exciting to be a chicken.
With this view I guarantee you that the eggs will taste even better.
I cannot fully suggest how to obtain the Penthouse overlooking Central Park
but this is how you can have the stylish Luxury Hen Residence...

My Friend Robin Horton author of the green blog URBAN GARDENS while visiting the International Contemporary Furniture Fair,  stumbled upon Raad’s modernist solar chicken coop for urban hens. This coop is so sophisticated, the desigers call it a “Residence.”
A all new flock of Urban Sophisticated Chicks has arrived.
I love Robin's captivating selling points:
3 floors of luxury living for the discerning hen. Low maintenance. Great views. No Coop board approval.

As Robin eloquently posted, these “residences” are the non-plus-ultra of green design too: each utilizes passive heat and cooling systems, driving a fan to supplement the systems throughout the summer. The triplex hen house offers floor to ceiling windows and “great views.” The first floor contains a “scratch n’ run” area, the second floor four egg-laying units, and the third floor houses a roosting perch described as the “Egg Lounge.” The design includes plenty of storage for bedding and food, while a sliding tray provides for easy clean up.
The Stylish Residence arrives flat-packed and it is ready for an easy to do mounting.
 It is constructed of routed exterior grade plywood and acrylic sheets. You can personalize it if you plan to give it as a gift.

Vidal Sassoon 5 point famous haircut

Vogue Grace Coddington models the famous five-point bob, by Vidal Sassoon

A few things you need to know about Vidal Sassoon

ONE.
 He is credited with creating a simple geometric hair style called the wedge bob
 said to be inspired by the artistic movemnet the Bauhaus.
Revolutionary in that period.

TWO.
Sassoon's former model and creative director of American Vogue, Grace Coddington, said that "he changed the way everyone looked at hair. Before Sassoon, it was all back-combing and lacquer; the whole thing was to make it high and artificial. Suddenly you could put your fingers through your hair!

THREE.
His Vidal Sassoon brand was applied to hair products sold worldwide, with a commercial campaign featuring the iconic slogan
"If you don't look good, we don't look good."
This is what should be said at every hair salon.

Sassoon opened his first salon in 1954 in London
He died this year in LA

Paris Christmas Shopping

Christmas at Le Meurice
Start with a Room at the divine Le Meurice, Paris part of The Dorchester Collection

A gift in the gift! I cannot think of a better gift to give to your best friend, your mom, your daughter, your sister, your Boss (a very good one) then a trip to Paris to shop for the Holidays. Just a night or two, very girly very fun!
I would start with a great Hotel, luxe and easy. If its home of the Valmont Spa even better, I think a deep tissue massage and 15 minutes of hamman can be perfect after a busy day shopping.

I also heard that there is a great exhibition of jewelry of Van Cleef.
Musée des Arts décoratifs
107, rue de Rivoli,  just a few steps from Le Meurice Hotel
Paris 75001
on until february so not to be missed.
Around 500 creations that have made the fame of the Maison are highlighted and shown with archives, documents and drawings, in an exhibition design by
 Jouin-Manku.
The history of Van Cleef & Arpels is studded with technical inventions passed down by the Mains d’Or of the Maison from generation to generation. It is this knowledge, kept secret and combined with imagination and very free sources of inspiration that underpins this formidable profusion of forms and models.
All the pieces have been researched and dated for this exhibition, so that the chronology of their creation can be precisely retraced for the first time.

No visit to Paris is complete without dine at my favorite Chef in Paris
Philippe Escoffier
18, rue de l'exposition
75007 Paris

Around the corner from the American Ambassy there is the Boutique
l'Eclaireur must see. http://www.leclaireur.com/ on Boissy d'Anglas

Hermès is alway a joy!

The new Louis Vuitton  Jewelry shop in Place Vendome designer by Marino
