Her Majesty The Queen and the Regal Circlet Crown

The superb preliminary sketch of Her Majesty by Richard Stone.
Now hanging in the Moot Hall in Colchester. A masterpiece.

My favorite crown of Her Majesty's Collection.
The Regal Circlet
belonged to King George the IV, which he wore to his coronation
over a larges plumed hat.
After him the crown has been worn by other nobility members.

the skeleton, just add diamonds and pearls...
Originally the stones were "hired"
but later they got replaced with permanent ones.

The Queen drove in the Irish State Coach to the
Opening of the Parliament in 1952.
